Xbox Game Pass Stealth Drops 4 Classic Games

Are you looking for more classic games to play on Xbox Game Pass? Well, you’re in luck because the service added four more retro games to its Retro Classics catalog, although these new titles surprisingly released without much fanfare, so you’d be excused for missing them.
Thanks to the January 2026 update for the Xbox Game Pass Retro Classics library, subscribers on Essential, Premium, PC, and Ultimate all now have access to four new games. Not only that, but according to TrueAchievements, this moves the number of retro games available to over 100, which is a pretty cool milestone to hit.
Xbox Game Pass Just Got Four New Games
The four new games added to Retro Classics on Xbox Game Pass mostly originally released on Atari. Those games are:
Keystone Kapers
Laser Gates
Rise of the Dragon
Sky Patrol
Keystone Kapers, published by Activision in 1983, is a platformer where you play a cop chasing after a thief inside a department store. Laser Gates, a side-scrolling shooter, debuted on the Atari 2600. It has a bit of a notorious reputation, so you might want to check it out on morbid curiosity alone.
Rise of the Dragon from Dynamix and Sierra On-Line is my personal fav of the games on this list, but that’s probably because I love SIerra On-Line so much. It’s a graphic adventure game with a cyberpunk feel that’s set in L.A. that you might’ve played in the ’90s on DOS or SEGA CD.
Sky Patrol, not to be confused with the Sonic spin-off Tails’ Skypatrol, lets you control a zeppelin in the sky and shoot at stuff. So, if you don’t want the spaceship shooting in Laser Gate, you might prefer this instead.
There Are 103 Retro Classics Available Now
With the addition of these four new Retro Classics on Xbox Game Pass after December’s last releases, that brings the library’s count up to 103. And because it’s available to all members of Game Pass, no matter your tier, it’s definitely worth checking out. None of the new games are necessarily going to keep you occupied for long, but they can be solid boredom busters.
