Xbox Drops 3 New Free Games For Limited-Time, No Game Pass Needed

If you’re looking for something new to play this weekend, Xbox has announced a new batch of four free games that you can download and play this weekend. And the best part? You don’t even need an Xbox Game Pass subscription to check them out.
Xbox’s weekly Free Play Days event is bigger than usual this week, with no less than five games available from now until Sunday, March 22. Better yet, three of those five games do not require a subscription to Xbox Game Pass, and are completely free to access at no extra cost. Shall we take a look at the four free games you can get your hands on? I think we’d probably better.
Your Free Xbox Games Are…
Sea Of Thieves
Quite simply one of the most enjoyable sea-faring adventures out there, you can dive into Rare’s ridiculous pirate sim at no extra cost for the next few days. In fact, Sea of Thieves will be available for free for a little bit longer than the other games on this list as Rare celebrates eight years since the game first launched. You have until March 24 8pm UTC to play for free, and any progress you make can carry over if you decide to purchase the game.
Trailmakers
ThinkJust Cause meetsMinecraft, and you have a pretty decent idea of the kind of experienceTrailmakers offers. The game promises you can “design anything from rugged off-road vehicles to ultra-fast race machines or aircraft capable of conquering the skies, then take your creations into a dynamic open world and see how they perform in daring challenges.” This one is free to try until March 22.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite
Another one that’s only free until March 22. Pretty obvious what this one is about, I would imagine. You step into the boots of a U.S. firefighter and play alone or with up to three friends to fight fires, save lives, and look good doing it.
Xbox Game Pass Users Get Extra
Meanwhile, those gamers with a subscription to Xbox Game Pass can play Totally Reliable Delivery Service and Hell Let Loose during the same window. One of those games is a chaotic delivery sim, the other is a brutal and realistic WWII shooter. I’ll let you work out exactly which is which.
