Vampire Crawlers, the first-person turn-based spin-off of Poncle’s hit BAFTA-winning title Vampire Survivors finally has a release date, and will arrive on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series next month on April 21, 2026. It will also be coming to iOS and Android mobile devices, though that release will arrive “at a later date in 2026.”
The news was revealed in a new release date trailer, which also confirmed that the game will be £9.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 / ¥1200, double the price of Vampire Survivors, which currently retails at $4.99. That said, if you think Poncle is trying to gouge you with that $5 increase in price, you’ll also be able to play Vampire Crawlers through Xbox Game Pass when it launches. Though how you square away a $10 game as overpriced but Game Pass as worth your money every month in your mind is your own business.
Jokes aside, Vampire Crawlers looks to be another time-consuming outing from Poncle, though this time it was also co-developed by Nosebleed Interactive, the studio behind games like Arcade Paradise and Vostok Inc.
Instead of the top-down bullet-heaven gameplay of Vampire Survivors, Vampire Crawlers puts you into a first-person perspective and turns the gameplay into a turn-based card battler. If you’re one of the millions of players who purchased and played Vampire Survivors, then you’ll already have a foundation of knowledge going into Vampire Crawlers, as many of the cards and items are all recognizable from the top-down game.
If you want to give Vampire Crawlers a try before jumping in to the full game, the studio released a demo as part of the recent Steam Next Fest, which is still live on the game’s Steam page. When the demo was announced, Vampire Crawlers had an estimated 200K wishlists on Steam. During Steam Next Fest, the demo got 358K downloads and 274K players. It now has over 420K wishlists on Steam alone.
