Xbox Game Pass might be more expensive these days than many of us would like, but there is a ton of value to be found and hundreds of hours of enjoyment to be had, regardless of what genres you happen to be a fan of.
In particular, the service is packed full of major RPGs that’ll comfortably absorb a ton of your life, recently adding both Kingdom Come Deliverance II and Cyberpunk 2077 to its already tempting smorgasbord. At the same time, heavy hitters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Diablo IV are all included as day one releases, potentially saving a good initial outlay for a game that you may not end up liking.
Outside of the biggest names, there are plenty of releases from smaller developers that are just as deserving of your precious time, and one in particular is taking the community by storm, with some even labeling it as a potential indie game of the year.
If You Love Zelda, You’ll Love This Game Pass Freebie
As first reported by ComicBook.com, a post on the Game Pass Reddit page seeks to highlight Minishoot’ Adventures, a twin stick shooter that is drawing pretty lofty comparisons with some legendary franchises.
“This game is a SOLID pull for game pass. Literally old school Zelda but with an airplane. I know that sounds strange, but trust me, this game is a GEM. Best thing I’ve played in 2026 so far. 11/10 experience,” the post reads.
The post has drawn a ton of likes, as well as plenty of comments agreeing with OP. “I downloaded it just because it was there. I at least try out most things on Game Pass. I’ve been pretty addicted to it. I play it a little bit every day. It reminds me a lot of old Zelda games,” one comment read.
“I completed it yesterday, it’s such a fun experience and gets pretty challenging towards the end of the game especially!” another added.
“That is why I love Game Pass. Even though I am mad at the price increase, the premium tier still delivers. You can play games I would never have even considered buying,” a third said.
