Xbox Game Pass Unveils X New Day

Xbox Game Pass has a lot to prove in 2026, but so far, it seems like it’s going to rise to the occasion. At least when it comes to first-party additions.
Through their official Developer Direct stream on YouTube, we got a first look at some of the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2026. There are quite a few heavy-hitters in this round.
Xbox Developer Direct Reveals Lots Of Day-One Games
There Are Several AAA Games
Forza Horizon 6 is going to be the big release mid-year, as the Playground Games racer is set to debut on May 19. A few new details were revealed for Horizon 6’s Japan sandbox, as it was described as the biggest Horizon game ever, and you’ll be able to build your own hub to host other players in.
Beast of Reincarnation is due out in the “summer of 2026,” and although we don’t have a release date, we got to take a look at Game Freak’s first big AAA game that isn’t a Pokémon title. It offers three difficulty settings, and “tactical complexity” with “high-speed combat.” Oh, and it has a pet dog. It’ll be available on Xbox Game Pass day one when it launches this summer.
Fable also had a great showing, and is coming to PC, Xbox, and PS5 in the “autumn of 2026.” This iteration of the game looks widely expansive, with a new morality system and the ability to own basically all the real estate in Albion, the game’s returning world.
Microsoft also reminds folks that Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved are slated for 2026, and will both be available as day-one Xbox Game Pass titles. Neither of those games has dates yet, but they’re still on track for this year.
Every Game Getting A Day-One Release On Game Pass
All The Additions
Here are all the games revealed during the Xbox Developer Direct, including one unexpected indie-like release from Double Fine:
Forza Horizon 6 (May 19, 2026)
Kiln (Spring 2026)
Beast of Reincarnation (Summer 2026)
Fable (Autumn 2026)
Kiln was easily the biggest surprise and is described as a “pottery brawler.” It’s out in the spring of 2026, with a day-one Xbox Game Pass release. It has a 4v4 setup, a crafting system of sorts, and a character customization element where your pot type influences your playstyle. It was crafted by the folks at Double Fine.
