A new batch of Xbox Game Pass titles has been added, and it’s offering subscribers a chance to check out games they might not have otherwise played. This seems to be the case with at least one open-world RPG that arrived this February, as multiple users on Reddit are discussing why it’s worth playing this month, and why they have Game Pass to thank for it.
Over on Reddit, user lunchanddinner shared their thoughts on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora after checking it out on Xbox Game Pass. “I wouldn’t have tried Avatar if not for Gamepass [sic], the journey to getting your Ikran is super memorable,” the user wrote. Xbox Game Pass Has Helped Players Discover Avatar
Despite Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora getting solid reviews at launch, it never really took off. It was surprising, considering it’s a popular IP with massive brand recognition, was from a well-known studio, and lets you play as a Na’vi in an open-world setting. It should’ve been everything Avatar fans could want. Instead, it seems like a lot of folks overlooked it at the time.
Now, thanks to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora being on Game Pass, people are discovering everything the game has to offer. And they seem to be loving it, with numerous users singing the game’s praises.
“So immersive, wouldn’t have played it if it wasn’t Game Pass,” reads one of the comments under the original post. “That’s the beauty of Game Pass!” wrote another commenter on Reddit.
Ubisoft’s Avatar Open-World Game Is Genuinely Gorgeous
While some people on Reddit couldn’t agree on the gameplay, with multiple users mentioning that it gets “repetitive” and “boring,” pretty much everyone agreed that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora looks beautiful. “The graphics are really good. The gameplay is meh,” wrote one user. “The game looks pretty but its EXTREMELY Boring,” reads another comment in agreement.
“It looks amazing,” said another commenter. And multiple people were quick to point out that because it’s on Game Pass, you can experience the beauty of the game at no extra cost, so it’s worth checking out, even if it’s just for a little while.
