Xbox Game Pass has added its final batch of new games for February 2026, but subscribers still aren’t over one of the newest drops from last week. While a host of great games came to Game Pass this month, members are celebrating one RPG in particular.
Over on Reddit, the original announcement had members weighing in on the biggest new arrivals. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Final Fantasy 3, and TCG Card Shop Simulator all had shoutouts, but a different freebie also got plenty of attention in the thread.
The Witcher 3 Is a Modern Classic RPG
“Witcher 3 complete edition is an amazing game!” wrote one user, noting how both it and KCD2 are arriving on Game Pass within about two weeks of each other. That time commitment alone is ludicrous. Both are open-world RPGs that you can easily sink 100 hours into without even really trying.
“Don’t sleep on Witcher 3,” advised another user. Others were quick to point out that while The Witcher 3 is undoubtedly awesome, if you haven’t played it by now, maybe you just don’t want to. “Bonkers if you don’t own Witcher 3 by now,” reads one comment.
However, it looks like some people are still experiencing it for the first time or haven’t given it a shot yet. “My friend played it last week for the first time and loved it,” wrote one user. “I haven’t played it,” reads another.
Is The Witcher 3 Poised For More DLC This Year?
Other users on Reddit were quick to question the motives here. New DLC for The Witcher 3 has been widely rumored to be arriving this year, which is wild in its own right, considering the game is a decade old now. Still, getting the Complete Edition on Game Pass this month does seem like perfect timing for new DLC to drop.
Insiders and leakers have claimed the new DLC will arrive this summer, and they’ve been insistent that the DLC is legit. Rumors of new DLC for The Witcher 3 began last summer, so it’s been almost a year. That’s a lot of time for fans to wait for an official confirmation, so hopefully this new Game Pass addition is a good sign of things to come.
