Xbox Game Pass announced its official first wave of March games headed to the service, and it includes a ton of great titles ranging from Cyberpunk 2077 to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to the beloved indie hit Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, there’s one hidden gem that wasn’t even included in the Game Pass announcement, and it was shadow-dropped out of nowhere, free to play now.
In a surprise announcement at the Nintendo Indie World showcase, an excellent Zelda-like twin-stick shooter was shadow-dropped for Xbox Game Pass out of nowhere (via PureXbox). Ultimate and PC subscribers will be able to play it for free, available to download from March 3.
There’s An Awesome New Zelda-Like On Xbox Game Pass
Minishoot’ Adventures was officially released on Xbox Game Pass yesterday out of the blue, and was not announced in the original March lineup on Xbox Wire. It’s a highly recommended twin-stick bullet hell game that fans of Zelda will definitely want to check out. The game has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam and a whopping 87 Metacritic score, and is free to play for Ultimate and PC tier subscribers.
If you’re looking for a Metroidvania-style game that scratches your Zelda itch at the same time, Minishoot’ Adventures has what you’re after. The game features a labyrinth of interconnected maps a la The Legend of Zelda that players must navigate through and solve puzzles, only with bullet hell-style gameplay to make things a bit more challenging.
Minishoot’ Adventures features three distinct difficulty modes that make it playable for all sorts of gamers, whether you prefer a serious challenge in the bullet hell space or are looking for a more casual exploration-type experience. It’s 100% worth checking out on Game Pass if you’re an Ultimate or PC subscriber.
Minishoot’ Adventures Slaps
If you’re aching for something to play to celebrate Zelda’s 40th anniversary and are feeling left in the lurch by Nintendo, Minishoot’ Adventures will keep you busy in the meantime. It’s a seriously fun and addictive game that players have only positive things to say about. Steam users like savethestyle give it a 10/10, saying it’s “A truly fantastic game! A mix of Zelda and a bullet hell shooter. It’s a real shame this game was never released on consoles…”
