Xbox Game Pass December 2025 additions include MK1, Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Just like that, it’s the final month of the year. December is upon us, which means new games and updates are coming to Xbox Game Pass. Not only are excellent recent titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle becoming available for new subscription tiers, but also titles like Mortal Kombat 1, A Game About Digging a Hole, and even a few day-one launches.
Looking at those day-one launches, Death Howl will be available on PC and handheld for users with Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscription tiers. Death Howl is a Soulslike deck-building game that follows a mother grieving the loss of her son as she goes on a mystical journey to bring him back. There’s some real hype behind this game, as it even made the Tribeca Fest official games selection earlier this year. If you are wondering whether this is a game for you, the demo is available on Steam right now.
Routine, another launch-day title, is a first-person horror game that strands you in an abandoned space station. It’s up to you to figure out what happened, how to survive, and why the enemy you’re pitted against views you as the villain. This game is a very long time coming, as it was originally announced in 2012. Routine will be available Dec. 9 on console, PC, cloud gaming, and handheld via the Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers.
Check out all of their day one launch titles for December below.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion (Ultimate, PC tiers): Dec. 1
Total Chaos (Ultimate, PC tiers): Dec. 1
Young Suns (Ultimate, PC tiers): Dec. 1
Death Howl (Ultimate, Premium, PC tiers): Dec. 9

Beyond the day one releases, there are plenty of other games coming to Game Pass this month for your enjoyment. There’s the aforementioned Mortal Kombat 1 and the hole-digging simulator A Game About Digging a Hole, which was released earlier this year and is seriously about digging a hole — something of a trend in 2025. Take a look at all the previously released games being added to Game Pass in December below.
Clover Pit (Ultimate, Essential, PC tiers): Dec. 1

While most of these titles are available exclusively on the Ultimate and PC subscription tiers, there’s still plenty of love being given to the lowest option, the Essential Tier. Several games from higher tiers are becoming unlocked for Essential players this month. Meanwhile, a couple of Ultimate and PC tier exclusives are not becoming available for those with Premium subscriptions. Take a look at those titles below.
