You should put your Xbox Game Pass subscription to good use and beat a fun little title set to leave the catalog this week. Microsoft’s subscription service recently underwent a few changes to its structure, and now there are tiers for various levels, each with its own set of benefits. This also came with an increase in the price of Xbox Game Pass.
With the new tier system in place, certain members may have access to more titles than others of inferior tiers. The Ultimate tier, for example, grants access to several other titles that the Premium and Essential tiers don’t. This includes Far Cry 3’s Blood Dragon on Xbox Game Pass, for instance. While new games are added, there are also a few that are periodically removed.
Donut County Is Leaving Xbox Game Pass Soon
The Game Can Be Played On Consoles & PC
One such game that is set to be removed is Donut County. Listed among the titles leaving Xbox Game Pass in October 2025 on the official Xbox website, the indie game was developed by Ben Esposito and published by Annapurna Interactive. The game is available for Xbox consoles and PC via the Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass tiers.
While the game wasn’t announced as a title leaving in October in the Xbox Wire post, it is signaled to leave the catalog soon, like the other games set to leave on October 15. As such, you only have a few more days to beat this indie game. Luckily, you can conclude the game quite quickly.
Donut County Is A Fun & Quirky Game You Can Beat In A Few Hours
The Game Is About More Than Simply Devouring The Titular Location
Donut County is a short puzzle game that can be concluded in around two hours, according to HowLongToBeat. The title puts you in control of a hole that appears in the titular Donut County. As you swallow objects, the hole starts getting larger, allowing you to engulf more as you progress. This is a fun and quirky game that will keep you entertained for a period of your afternoon.
While destroying the titular county, you’ll be introduced to a series of smaller story arcs, all of which develop as the location gets devoured by the hole. In Screen Rant’s review of Donut County, we gave it a 7 out of 10 score, citing that it is a “charming” game. We also mention that “the initial conceit of glorious destruction is neat, and its strange cast gives it a unique quality that is easy to be enthralled in.”
