Xbox Cloud Gaming has traditionally been a major pillar of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but Xbox is reportedly planning to open up the feature to far more users. Cloud Gaming offers a way to play games on hardware that might not otherwise be capable, like handheld devices and smart TVs. Microsoft recently rolled out the feature for cheaper Game Pass tiers, and it now looks like that was just the beginning.
According to Tom Warren of The Verge, an ad-supported version of Xbox Cloud Gaming will soon be available for free. While the free version won’t have access to the Xbox Game Pass catalog, it will allow users to stream some of their own games, free weekend titles, and Xbox Retro Classics. Per Warren’s sources,
