December 31 Is Going To Be A Sad Day For Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass members are going to sustain a major loss on December 31 as a great title is being removed from the catalog. Every month, Microsoft’s subscription service undergoes a few changes, with some new additions and departures. For example, four classic titles joined Xbox Game Pass just recently, on top of the other planned titles that have already arrived during this final month.
In general, 2025 was a huge year for the subscription service. Apart from the change to the entire service, with the introduction of a tier-based system, there was also a staggering number of additions to Xbox Game Pass in 2025, with nearly 300 titles being added to the catalog over the past few months. Even though there are many additions, there are a few titles leaving the catalog, too.

Until December 31, Xbox Game Pass members can play Carrion for free via the service, as the indie title will be removed from the catalog on that date. The indie game developed by Phobia and published by Devolver Digital can be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on Game Pass. Carrion is available as part of the Premium tier, which means PC Game Pass and Ultimate tier members also have access to it.
In turn, members of the Essential tier do not have access to the indie game. Even though the time to play this innovative sci-fi horror game is short, Carrion is also a short game to beat. According to HowLongToBeat, you can finish the main campaign in just under five hours, but you can take a bit more time if you’re focusing on secondary objectives.
