MySims: Cozy Bundle — a bundled re-release of MySims and MySims Kingdom — is finally coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, according to a recent announcement from EA.
As its name suggests, the MySims franchise is a Sims spinoff that was initially aimed at a younger audience, first launching on Nintendo DS and Wii in 2007. Rather than allowing players to customize every square inch of the neighborhood and micromanage individual lives the way mainline Sims games do, MySims has a smaller scope, tasking players with fixing up a dilapidated town in the hopes of attracting new residents. MySims Kingdom offers similar gameplay, with a run-down kingdom in need of repair and some added royal flair.
The MySims games do allow for a good bit of customization, especially with regard to residents’ homes, but the characters themselves have simplified, blocky designs (think Roblox characters, but less cursed-looking), and can’t be altered to the same extent as their mainline Sims game counterparts. Gameplay-wise, MySims and MySims Kingdom function a bit like Animal Crossing and similar
