Arkansas State, Missouri State plug in for first XBox Bowl

In a surprising announcement Thursday, Arkansas State and Missouri State became the nation’s first college football teams to learn their bowl game destination.
First reported by Brett McMurphy of On3sports, the Red Wolves and Bears have accepted to bids to the inaugural XBox Bowl. The game will be held Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. Central in the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
The 12,000-seat indoor stadium is a part of the Dallas Cowboys sprawling practice facility. Not the be confused with the Frisco Bowl slated for Dec. 23 at the same stadium, the Xbox Bowl was formed as a replacement for the now-defunct Bahamas Bowl.
The Bahamas Bowl was played from 2014-2024 at Thomas Robinson Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. It was announced in June that the bowl game would no longer continue, but the Xbox Bowl was not revealed as the replacement game until Thursday.
It will be the third consecutive bowl appearance for ASU (6-6) and the first-ever bowl for Missouri State (7-5)
