All New Games On Xbox Game Pass January 2026 & Which Are Leaving

Xbox Game Pass had a pretty big 2025, but as we head into 2026, anything is possible. Any number of AAA games can be announced and come out day one on Xbox Game Pass, but we’ll have to wait for some of the bigger announcements.
For now, we have confirmation on what is coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2026. We’ll update this page as more information becomes available.

Everything That’s Confirmed
While Microsoft hasn’t confirmed the full slate of games for January 2026, we do know of two day-one titles coming to Xbox Game Pass.
MIO: Memories in Orbit is a metroidvania from publisher Focus Entertainment, where you take control of the android Mio and explore a gigantic ark filled with dangerous machines. The visuals and action look incredibly sleek, and this could be an early 2026 sleeper hit. One of the more fascinating components of MIO is that the labyrinth is a living organism, which should hopefully lead to some cool environments.
Nova Roma, just like it sounds, is a city-building game that also involves elements of appeasing Gods in addition to managing Rome’s vast empire. One interesting aspect is that you’ll start with a small settlement and then greatly expand it as the game progresses, while dealing with the Gods. It’s due out on January 22, and a demo is available now on Steam if you’re interested.
Those are the two core games we know will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one in January 2026. With a metroidvania and a city-builder in tow, Xbox Game Pass has a pretty good opener for the year if you’re a fan of unique genres.
There will no doubt be plenty of shooters and action games added throughout the year. After all, High on Life 2 is slated for a February 13 release, and Menace, a turn-based tactical RPG, is out on February 5th.
