There are hundreds of free titles to check out on Xbox Game Pass, and many of them can fly under your radar amongst the constant influx of large and remarkable productions that often steal the spotlight when they are added to the catalog. For example, earlier in January, the most recent Warhammer 40,000 game joined Xbox Game Pass, allowing members to check out one of 2024’s most epic titles without having to pay any extra fees aside from their subscription fee.
Just before that, the service also received Death Stranding: Director’s Cut. In February, the catalog was also expanded with some notable games, such as the day-one release of High on Life 2, as well as The Witcher 3 and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. In early March, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 joined Game Pass, too, followed by Cyberpunk 2077 just a few days ago. However, these aren’t the only games, and one of the most recent releases may have gone unnoticed in your catalog.
Aerial_Knight’s DropShot Is Free On Xbox Game Pass
The Stylish FPS Has A Unique Take On The Genre
As part of the announcement of Wave 2 in February, which also confirmed the first March titles for Game Pass, Aerial_Knight’s DropShot was added to the catalog. The indie game developed by Aerial_Knight is a fast-paced FPS with a unique premise. Here, you’ll be facing enemies while plummeting through the skies. Your goal is to defeat your enemies and grab a parachute to land first, before they do so.
To accomplish this, you’ll be armed with a Finger Gun, though it will have a limited number of bullets to use. As such, you’ll have to know when you have to pick your fights and use other elements, such as slipstreams, to survive and make it to the parachute. DropShot is a highly stylized FPS, much like the highly praised FPS called Neon White.
Expect More Cool Freebies Arriving On Xbox Game Pass Soon
March Will Have More Free Games
This game may be worth your time, especially if you’re a fan of alternative takes on the FPS genre. It isn’t the only cool freebie that has arrived recently on Xbox Game Pass, nor is it the last. In fact, while Microsoft has announced some games for March, Wave 2 should be revealed soon, bringing even more titles to the catalog.
