Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Like the original game published many years ago, Space Marine 2 goes all in on its action premise and Warhammer 40K setting. The best defense in the game is a good offense, and as a Primaris Space Marine, there’s a gratifying amount of ultra-violence here as you carve a bloody path through the Tyranid hordes. The game looks good, feels consistently fun to play, and it has robust PvP and PvE modes to sample after the end credits have rolled on its meaty campaign.
“Space Marine 2 is a fantastic sequel that builds on its predecessor in every way, bombarding you with an overwhelming enemy and chaotic action that makes you feel like a small part of a much larger war,” Richard Wakeling wrote in GameSpot’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 review.
PC gamers aren’t being left out in the cold either, as Space Marine 2 continues to be available for a discounted price at GameSpot sister site Fanatical. Currently, Fanatical is offering the standard version of the game for $52.79, the Gold Edition with the season pass for $79.19, and the Ultra Edition that throws in an Ultramarines Champion pack on top of all the other extras for $88.

Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide
If you’re currently playing Space Marine 2 and you’re currently lost in a sea of lore, you can check out the Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide that launches this week (October 29). While it’s challenging to sum up the lore and legends of the Warhammer 40K universe in a single book, this meaty encyclopedia sounds like a great way to get started on learning about this tabletop gaming giant, which has expanded into video games, books, and more mediums over the years. The book goes into exhaustive detail on the miniatures and stories of Warhammer 40,000, and it includes hundreds of photographs across 336 pages.
This is just the tip of the Warhammer 40K spear, and if you’re looking to dive deep into the IP, you can check out GameSpot’s detailed guide on where to start with Warhammer 40K’s tabletop RPG, sprawling video game franchise, and hundreds of books.
