Online privacy is more important these days than ever, and Xbox is doing its part to help teach kids about it at an early age with a new game called Privacy Prodigy as part of its Minecraft Education series. The release of the game lines up with tomorrow being Safer Internet Day. And although the title is aimed at kids, it could honestly be of use to anyone. If you’re someone who doesn’t have a good understanding of best online privacy practices, this game is for you. No matter your age.
Although Xbox says it was designed to help kids age 7 to 18. Privacy Prodicy is a single player experience and is comprised of a series of challenges that are meant to help you learn more about data privacy. Players will “learn how to make more informed decisions about who should have access to their personal data and why” Xbox says.
Players will also learn about how to manage issues if any of their personal information is ever compromised. As well as protecting their personal data and what types of information are actually safe to share.

Privacy Prodigy is free for Minecraft Bedrock players
If Privacy Prodigy sounds like a good idea to you, then you can pick it up at no charge. You do however have to have the Bedrock version of Minecraft. This should be accessible from the Minecraft Marketplace on any device where you can play current versions of Minecraft. Which includes Android and iOS, Xbox, Windows 10, and PlayStation.
You’ll simply need to boot up the game and open the Minecraft Marketplace. Where you’ll find the game as part of the Minecraft Education lesson library. The multiplatform availability will go a long way in helping to teach kids about online privacy from a young age.
