PUBG Mobile, one of the most popular mobile games globally, has introduced a new ranking system designed to give ambitious players a path into the world of esports. The new feature, dubbed “Ultimate Royale,” debuts as part of the game’s Version 3.4 update, offering players the opportunity to compete under professional scoring rules while unlocking exclusive rewards.
The Ultimate Royale mode brings five new ranked tiers — Vanguard, Exceed, Supreme, Peerless, and Legend — with the top 500 players at the end of the season earning a chance to try out for a professional team. This addition signals a shift towards more competitive play for PUBG Mobile, providing players the chance to engage in esports-style matches with the possibility of advancing to PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) qualifiers.
Players who have achieved Crown Tier in the current or previous seasons will have a limited daily window to join third-person squads on the Classic Erangel map, where they can earn ranked points by eliminating opponents and securing high placements. The game mode features tournament-standard settings, including adjusted Playzone shrink times and Blue Zone damage, while disabling features such as Red Zones, aim assists, and flare guns to enhance the competitive experience.
In addition to potential professional tryouts, players will receive tier-based rewards and weekly prizes for the top 1,000 placements. Ultimate Royale’s first season will spotlight Alpha 7 Esports, the reigning champions of the 2024 PUBG Mobile World Cup, as the cover pro team.
The Version 3.4 update will be available until Nov. 10, 2024.
