ASUS has announced its ROG STRIX XG259QNS gaming monitor, boasting impressive specifications for eSports gamers such as a 380 Hz panel.
ASUS’s ROG STRIX XG259QNS Is The Ultimate Package For Hardcore eSports Gamers, 380 Hz Panel, FHD Display & The Best Features To Enhance The Experience
The ROG lineup by ASUS is quite popular for what they bring onboard regarding performance, aesthetics, and user-oriented features. The new ROG STRIX XG259QNS is no exception since it is aimed at “hardcore gamers” who want to maximize their in-game performance by leveraging the equipment they have. Starting with the specifications, the XG259QNS features a 24.5-inch “Fast IPS” panel with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. While some might argue the choice of going with 1080p, it is important to note that this monitor is solely for gaming purposes, and the onboard features justify this statement.

Coming to the more interesting bits, the XG259QNS comes with a whopping “380 Hz” refresh rate, making the “fast-paced” visuals fluid and easy to notice. Moreover, the monitor also comes with a 0.3 ms response time; hence, the combination is well-suited for getting the most out of your monitor. Other panel specifications include support for VESA DisplayHDR 400, 110% sRGB color gamut, and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. It is quite similar to what we have seen with other gaming-oriented monitors out there, but the ROG STRIX XG259QNS stands out when it comes to giving the best to its consumers.

The monitor includes several other features as well to enhance the gaming experience, with the foremost being the inclusion of AMD FreeSync Premium technology, helping to reduce the impact of screen tearing. Moreover, the monitor also features ASUS’s very own ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB SYNC), which “eliminates ghosting and tearing for sharp gaming visuals with high frame rates.” By utilizing the above-mentioned features together, one could expect a top-notch gaming experience without worrying about anything.
Moving on to the onboard connectivity, the ROG STRIX XG259QNS features 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A hub, and an earphone jack as well. You won’t see a port with PD capabilities here, but for an ideal “gaming” scenario, it’s highly unlikely that you would ever need one. The monitor also comes with a dedicated stand as well, with ample height, tilt, and swivel adjustment options.
ASUS hasn’t disclosed the pricing or release date of this particular monitor yet, but we could expect it to be unveiled soon since the monitor has been listed on ASUS’s official website.
