New Mortal Kombat 1 comparison videos were shared online a few hours ago, putting the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at max setting versions of the game side by side to highlight the visual differences between them.
The first comparison, which ElAnalistaDeBits put together, highlights how all console versions have a single display mode targeting 60 frames per second gameplay with dynamic resolution and AMD FSR. The Xbox Series X is the console version that runs at the highest resolution range, between 1872p and 1944p, followed by the PlayStation 5 version with a slightly lower 1728p, 1800p range, and the Xbox Series S version with a 1080p, 1152p range. The Xbox Series S version, unsurprisingly, not only targets 1440p max resolution but also has worse terrain geometry, post-processing effects, NPCs density, and more.
The PC version of Mortal Kombat 1 also seems to run well. At max settings, the game looks much better than the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions, featuring better shadows and post-processing effects.
The second Mortal Kombat 1 comparison video by ElAnalistaDeBits compares the models of the new game with those of the previous entry in the series. Despite having been originally released back in 2019, Mortal Kombat 11 still holds up pretty well, as some character models are better than those in the new entry in the series.
Mortal Kombat 1 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for those who purchase the game’s Kollector’s and Premium Edition. The game will launch for everybody else on September 19th.
