In fact RIG is so confident in the durability of its headsets it often twists the headband for marketing photos. This flexible design of the headband ensures you can have a worry-free experience of using the headset. Even if you yank the headset off your head like someone with anger management issues, you can probably rest easy that this thing is likely safe from damage that might come from such situations. We’d still recommend treating the headset with care though. The headset’s durable design is a staple of RIG’s brand, but hardly the only noteworthy feature here.

The RIG 900 Max HX comes with a base for wire-free charging
If you hate plugging in your headset just as much as the next person, the 900 Max HX won’t ask you to do that. Instead, you can plug in the base and that stays plugged in at all times. When you’re ready to charge the headset, simply plop it down onto the base and it charges wire-free.
You’ve likely seen similar charging base stations for headsets like the Astro A50. And it’s one small part of what makes those headsets so popular. The base station for the 900 Max HX plugs directly into your PC or console, and then your headset connects to it wirelessly. You can also optionally connect it to the wireless USB adapter which plugs into your PC or console’s USB ports. And the Bluetooth 5.1 lets you connect it to mobile devices and handhelds like the Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck.
Plus, there’s dual-mode wireless so you can switch between the low-latency and Bluetooth connections.
