One of this decade’s best open-world RPGs may be making its way into the Xbox Game Pass catalog, and if the rumors prove to be true, members may get access to dozens, if not hundreds, of remarkable gameplay. Microsoft’s subscription service is always getting new games added to the catalog for players to enjoy. Just recently, Xbox Game Pass got an underrated 2025 gem that players are already praising, for example.
Even though the service is still getting its first March games, there are some rumors about what may join soon. According to a report by Windows Central, the official Xbox Game Pass account on X made a tease, saying that “something v cool is coming soon.” This statement led players to believe that it is a reference to Cyberpunk 2077, as “V” is the name of the playable character you control in Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is Coming To Xbox Game Pass
The Tease Seems To Explicitly Reference Night City
The rumors about the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Game Pass aren’t too wild. There would be no effort for the post to fully write that “something very cool” is coming soon, but the ones behind the post made an effort to abbreviate the word “very” to “v” in two different instances. Furthermore, the post also starts off saying “wake up social team,” which seems to be a reference to a teaser trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, where Johnny Silverhand says something similar to V.
Moreover, the post discusses how there are several “breathtaking worlds to explore” in the catalog and that a new addition is also going to be a good one in that regard. Night City is, undeniably, a breathtaking world to explore, so it only backs up the rumors that Cyberpunk 2077 may be part of the upcoming Xbox Game Pass additions in March. If the rumors prove to be true, we may get some confirmation about it quite soon.
Xbox Game Pass Is Stacked This Year
The Service Already Got Great Games In 2026
The possible addition of Cyberpunk 2077 to the catalog will prove just how stacked this year is going to be for the subscription service. Although we’re only in March, Microsoft has already added major hits to the catalog. This includes Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, High on Life 2 as a day-one release, the first three Final Fantasy games, and more. Xbox Game Pass even got Space Marine 2 in late January, an epic 2024 game.
