Xbox Game Pass has historically been a great way to curate games for people new to the hobby. In addition to new AAA open-world adventures, the service also gets many retro titles, some of which have been forgotten over time.

Although 1987’s original Final Fantasy on the NES gets a lot of recognition, the sequel was initially released exclusively in Japan. In fact, Final Fantasy 2 and 3 weren’t released in the West for many years, and only came to the US in 2003 on the original PlayStation. As a result, many people missed out on Final Fantasy 2 during the NES era, and had to wait decades to experience it for the first time.
