Xbox Game Pass is always a revolving door, and the service is closing out 2026 with just as many entrances and exits as usual. Unlike PlayStation Plus, Game Pass doesn’t feature any monthly rotation of titles, focusing entirely on comparatively long-term catalog options. Even so, games that aren’t published by Microsoft don’t tend to stick around forever.
Per usual, the December additions to Xbox Game Pass will include some day-one titles, which will only be available with the Ultimate and PC versions of the subscription. However, the basic tiers are never left out to dry. Among the five currently revealed games, only one seems likely to be available on the Essential tier, but more should be revealed shortly.
Every Game Coming To Game Pass In December 2025
Xbox Starts The Month Strong
Xbox Game Pass hasn’t revealed the full December slate yet, but don’t expect a flurry of day-one games in the back half of December. Even outside of Game Pass, the month is cooling off quite a bit following a storm of releases in the first week or two. Nonetheless, Xbox should still have some reveals up its sleeve, even if none of them end up being day-one additions.
Every Game Leaving Game Pass In December 2025
Uncertain Waters
Xbox Game Pass hasn’t confirmed its December departures yet, but several games are leaving right before the month starts. The following titles depart the service on November 30:
Barbie Project Friendship
Lords Of The Fallen
Octopath Traveler
Octopath Traveler 2
SteamWorld Build
The newest Octopath Traveler game, Octopath Traveler 0, will be out in December, but it doesn’t appear to be coming to Game Pass day one. For the time being, Game Pass is becoming an Octopath-less service.
Xbox should provide some clarification on which games are leaving the service in December soon. Mid-month departures are usually announced a couple of days into the month, while any sneaking out at the very end of the month might not be revealed until later.
