Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light Joins Xbox Game Pass On September 30

Xbox Game Pass members should keep their attention focused on September 30, as a new title will be arriving for free in the catalog. There are hundreds of different games to pick from within Microsoft’s subscription service, and the catalog is constantly renewing with arrivals and some departures. Earlier this month, there was a cool day-one release on Xbox Game Pass, Sworn.
This is a roguelike like Hades, but set in an alternative interpretation of Camelot, with a corrupted King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table. On September 25, Xbox Game Pass received Visions of Mana, a legendary RPG from a classic Square Enix franchise. There are constant new additions to the catalog, so it’s worth keeping up with the releases – especially when they are good.
Lara Croft & The Guardian Of Light Arrives On Xbox Game Pass
The Game Can Be Played On PC, Consoles, & Cloud
One of the great games arriving on Xbox Game Pass in September is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. This isn’t a new title per se, as the game was released back in 2010, but you can now play it without extra costs, regardless of your subscription tier. The Tomb Raider game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud starting on September 30.
It is worth noting that the subscription service’s catalog is constantly cycling. Even though it’s unlikely that it will leave within the next few months, and likely only be removed next year, it is best to play the game as soon as possible, as departures from Game Pass are announced at the start of every month.
Lara Croft & The Guardian Of Light Is A Great Tomb Raider Game
The Game’s Score Can Be Compared To Rise Of The Tomb Raider
While this game is not as well-known as the Tomb Raider series initiated in 2013, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a remarkable entry in the franchise. Also developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, this is an action-adventure game that puts you in control of the titular Lara Croft. The game has a multiplayer feature that allows players to control the character and the ancient Mayan warrior Totec.
The title’s high quality is reflected by its 85 Metascore on Metacritic. For comparison, Tomb Raider (2013) and the great Rise of the Tomb Raider have an 86 score on the platform, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider has a disappointing 75 score on Metacritic.
