5 best games that Xbox should port over to PlayStation

It has officially been announced that Forza Horizon 5 will be ported to PlayStation. This announcement came as a surprise to many, especially long-time fans of Xbox consoles. However, Microsoft CEO Phil Spencer has openly talked about wanting games to be more accessible, so it should come as no surprise that more games will likely be ported over in the future.
There are a lot of Xbox exclusives that could get ported over to PlayStation. Think about seeing all of your favorite Xbox mascots on your PS5 or future PlayStation consoles. Let’s break down the best games Xbox has to offer that should make their way over to PlayStation in the future.
5 Starfield
The latest in space exploration

Starfield is one of the biggest titles that Bethesda has created in the past decade. When it was announced, many were eager to get their hands on it. Unfortunately for some, Starfield ended up being a PC and Xbox exclusive, barring anyone who was playing on PlayStation at the time. To this day, there are still players who want to jump into the space exploration title and see what all the hype is about. Since we have a long time before Bethesda releases anything related to The Elder Scrolls and even longer until something related to Fallout is released, Xbox should fill the gap by porting Starfield over to PlayStation.

4 Gears of War
Let the war rage on
Close
Gears of War is one of the biggest Xbox franchises ever created. Consisting of five main-line games and a few spin-offs, there are plenty of games that could be ported over to the PlayStation. If Microsoft isn’t interested in all of them, it could simply port over the original title and leave the rest for future ports. Xbox could potentially make even more money by releasing a remastered collection of all the Gears of War games on the PlayStation, similar to the Master Chief Collection. This could get players hyped for when the next game, Gears of War E-Day, is released later this year or in 2026.
3 Fable
A glorious RPG for all gamers
Close
A new installment in the series created by Lionhead Studios, simply named Fable, is making a magnificent comeback in 2025. This new entry in the series has many fans eager to jump back into the world of Albion. Of course, since the last Fable title was created, many fans have migrated to different platforms. While the game is being released on PC and Xbox, some fans do not have access to either of these consoles. To truly give a new start to this once-beloved franchise, Microsoft should port the game over to PlayStation and release it on PS5 on day one. While it is unlikely to come to the console on the initial release day, it would be a nice change of pace for the series that fans could get behind.

2 Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
The original is already on PlayStation
Close
Ninja Theory made waves when it released the original Hellblade title. Many immediately fell in love with the world-building and felt attached to Senua as she journeyed to save the soul of her dead lover. Wrought with psychosis, you hear the voices in Senua’s head as she explores the dark world. There is little that players didn’t immediately love about this title. What struck many as strange, however, is that the sequel to this game is an Xbox and PC exclusive. The reason for the strange reception to this is that the original title was only on PlayStation. To this day, many still want to play the sequel but don’t want to fork over hundreds of dollars to purchase an Xbox Series X/S console. Microsoft should port the game over to PlayStation, so everyone can finally get closure on Senua’s story.
1 Halo: The Master Chief Collection
The original mascot moves to PlayStation
Close
Master Chief is one of the most well-known figures in gaming history. Halo was one of the original titles that helped launch the first Xbox console, and since then, the franchise has become world-renowned. Of course, Master Chief has never been on any console without Microsoft’s name attached. In other words, the series has only ever been on Xbox and PC. Since there are rumors that the Master Chief Collection could be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2, Microsoft should also port the game over to PlayStation so that everyone can join in on the fun. While they are at it, Microsoft could also port over Halo Infinite.
More ways to play
While exclusives used to be good for Microsoft, recent years have shown that they aren’t as lucrative as they once were. Games like Starfield and Halo Infinite didn’t do nearly as well as expected. Along with this, Phil Spencer has openly stated that games should be
